Organization Programs

The main focus of our programs is to educate and raise awareness towards talented artists in the blind community by promoting inclusion and bridging the gap between blind and sighted performers.

Vizionz of Music

This is our annual event, celebrated in October in honor of Blindness Awareness and Arts Awareness month, that features professional blind and sighted performers from various genres in music, dance, and acting. V.O.M. provides a platform to equally showcase the talents of both groups of performers, allowing opportunities to work together.

Workshops

Each one of our training workshops will be taught by an industry professional that will include lessons on technique, form, and stage presence. The purpose of these workshops is to provide the opportunity for both visually impaired and sighted individuals to learn and interact together, providing an environment that will allow these artists to be comfortable with each other within a social setting. Workshop subjects will be voice, instruments, acting, dance and instructor coaching. All workshops are available for both visually impaired and sighted individuals to attend.

Aspiring Artist Program

Our Aspiring Artist program provides scholarships to blind and visually impaired students for tuition and/or materials to attend performing arts courses at an approved performing arts conservatory, college, or program. We are networking with neighboring performing arts schools with the efforts of encouraging them to accept enrollment for blind and visually impaired students, to be able to learn and receive the same quality of education as their sighted peers.
